The Futrelle Sisters Are Back!
The Waynesburg University theatre program, under the direction of Professor Edward L. Powers, is a very busy program on campus. Last summer he directed a hilarious southern farce “Dearly Beloved”. In that story the audiences laughed as the three Futrelle sisters were planning a wedding that kept going horribly wrong. Now this summer Powers is providing our community with another Futrelle disaster. “Christmas Belles” presents the three sisters as they try to put together a holiday pageant full of utter chaos.
The summer show is early this year with performances scheduled for June 22 and 23 at 7:30 pm in the Goodwin Performing Arts Center on Waynesburg University’s main campus. Tickets are only $5 each. “Join us for more Texas hilarity with a heavy dose of the holidays,” said Powers. If you thought “Dearly Beloved” was funny, you’ll love “Christmas Belles!”
